Privacy

Private information should stay private.

Sparks to Life receives sensitive requests from people who may be vulnerable. This page explains the basic privacy approach for the platform.

This is a practical plain-language privacy notice for the MVP. It should be reviewed by Sparks to Life leadership and legal counsel when a formal policy is needed.

What We Collect

When someone asks for help or signs up to volunteer, Sparks to Life may collect contact details, location or neighborhood, language preference, availability, help categories, and the notes submitted through the form.

How We Use Information

Information is used to respond to help requests, contact volunteers, coordinate practical support, and route requests to trusted Sparks to Life team members or appropriate community resources.

Private Requests Are Not Public

Help requests are not displayed on a public board. Names, phone numbers, medical details, family situations, and other sensitive information are handled privately.

Who Can Access Submissions

Submissions are routed to the Sparks to Life team members responsible for responding to help requests and volunteer coordination. Access should be limited to people who need the information to provide support.

Retention

Sparks to Life should keep submitted information only as long as needed for support, follow-up, operations, and legal or accounting requirements. A detailed retention policy can be added as operations become more formal.

Emergency Disclaimer

This platform is not an official emergency authority. In an emergency, contact official services and follow instructions from Pikud HaOref and local authorities.
